Franz Josef Glacier Walk - Duration: 4.5 Hours
The trip proceeds on to the terminal face of the glacier for approximately 1½ hours (conditions permitting). The terrain can look daunting but be assured, the pre-formed access-ways make it achievable for most agile people in the 5-60 year age range. Hundreds of sprightly seniors and toddlers in backpacks have enjoyed the experience.  We always climb down the same way we went up as it is rarely possible to find two feasible access routes on the ever-changing glacier.

With the emphasis more on geographical information and the glaciers history, you're able to venture beyond the public barriers and right up to the dramatic terminal face of this advancing glacier with your experienced guide.

Heli Hiking Franz Josef - Duration: 3 Hours
Wrap up warm for this icy experience on the spectacular Franz Josef Glacier. Hover over this amazing river of ice in an awesome helicopter ride, before landing on the glacier for a guided two hour hike. Walk amongst the caves and crevasses while admiring the stunning landscape before returning by helicopter to the township below. This is one cool adventure!

Twin Glacier Helicopter Flight - Duration: 30 Minutes
Fly over two of New Zealand's most famous glaciers on this 30-minute helicopter flight. Marvel at the mantle of pure white snow as you land at the head of either the Franz Josef or Fox Glacier.  This landing site is the perfect place to view the incredible natural phenomenon of the glaciers as they wind slowly down the carved valleys from their origin in the mountains high above you.
