Franz Josef Glacier Walk -
Duration: 4.5 Hours
The trip proceeds on to the terminal face of the glacier for
approximately 1½ hours (conditions permitting). The terrain can look daunting
but be assured, the pre-formed access-ways make it achievable for most agile
people in the 5-60 year age range.
Hundreds of sprightly seniors and toddlers in backpacks have enjoyed the
experience.
We always climb down the same way we went up as it is rarely possible to find
two feasible access routes on the ever-changing glacier. |
